Mr.Swapan Bhattacharyya Mr. Swapan Bhattacharyya recieved his B.Sc.(Physics Hons.) degree in 1983 from Calcutta University and awarded National Scholarship. Subsequently he earned his M.Tech. Degree in 1987 from the Department of Radio Physics and Electronics from Calcutta University.
After completion of his studies, he joined in the prestigious TATA Group of Company on a computer and networking based job at Jamshedpur as a Sr. Engineer and subsequently became the Branch Manger within a short span of 11 years. Because of his dedication towards his job, he was soon promoted to All India CS Manager at company’s Head Office in Mumbai. He got an appreciation letter from the Director of his company for his devotion and commitment to the company’s corporate clients.
With 15 years of rich industry experience Mr. Bhattacharyya joined Asansol Engineering College at Asansol as Manager Systems in May 2004. Presently he is heading the disciplines of “Computer Science & Engineering” and “Information Technology”. His area of interest is on nanotechnology and is presently doing research work upon the same.

Dr. J.Mahato Dr. J. Mahto, Head of the Department, acquired his B.Sc Engineering (Electrical) from BCE Bhagalpur (Bhagalpur Univ.) in 1964, M.Tech (Control System) from I.I.T Kharagpur in 1970 and Ph.D in the area of Control System from I.I.T Delhi in 1984. He has served M.I.T Muzaffarpur and B.I.T. Sindri in capacities like Lecturer, Astt. Prof., Prof. and Head before joining Asansol Engineering College. He taught at Bright Star University, Libya for one year from 1988 to 1989. He has produced two Ph.Ds and is currently guiding some Ph.D scholars. He has published several papers in National and International journals. He has teaching experience of more than four decades.
