Thus, in accordance to the famous dictum “Education is what remains, when we have forgotten all that we have been taught”; the Department of Humanities plays the role of a catalyst in the alchemic metamorphosis of the ‘technologists’ into ‘technocrats’.
With the aim to create the finest quality human resource, the Department of Humanities has launched an Industry Connect Corporate Training Program for students of AEC, that would not only kindle their socio-cultural competencies and thereby help them to emerge as effective and dynamic communicators, and increase the productivity and efficiency of the students by making them industry-ready but also will provide a regular exposure to industry personnel that will abreast the students to the contemporary and changing requirements of the corporate industry.
The Department also runs Winter Courses on ‘Language Enhancement Programme’ and Summer Courses on ‘Professional English’ to develop the communicative competency and the executive edge of the students.
Established in 1998, the Department grew in leaps and bounds along the other departments of the college.
It presently houses two Laboratories:
1. ‘Language Laboratory’ with a capacity of thirty seats dedicated to the development of linguistic competency (voice drilling, accent training etc.) of the students.
